Job Description - Front of House Team Member

At Chick-fil-A, the Team Member role is more than just a job; it's an opportunity. In addition to working directly for an independent Owner/Operator, Team Members gain life experience that goes far beyond serving a great product in a friendly environment. Team Members are responsible for providing an exceptional dining experience for everyone they serve each day and for ensuring all guests receive signature Chick-fil-A service and food.

*We are currently holding open interviews every Tuesday from 4pm-5pm. Apply and come to our restaurant to be interviewed by one of your hiring directors. If you have a resume you can attach it to your application or bring in a hard copy. Open interviews end at 5pm sharp.

Front of House Team Member Responsibilities:

  • Sharing smiles with the guests throughout their visit
  • Maintaining eye contact
  • Speaking enthusiastically
  • Make emotional connections with guests
  • Honor and encourage others to follow the vision and values of the restaurant
  • Multitask quickly, yet thoroughly
  • Be team-oriented, adaptable, dependable, with a strong work ethic
  • Work on their feet for several hours at a time
  • Communicate effectively with guests and Team Members
  • Adhere to Chick-fil-A policies and dress code at all times
  • Challenge your urgency in a fast paced environment
  • Serving guests in the dining room and the drive thru in different weather conditions
  • Maintaining cleanliness in the restaurant (parking lot, dining room, restrooms, behind the counter)
  • Looking for opportunities to go beyond the standard service expectation

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Consistency and reliability
  • Cheerful and positive attitude
  • Loves serving and helping others
  • Customer service oriented
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Works well independently and in a team environment
  • Be willing and able to work a flexible schedule, especially weekends and holidays
  • Have the ability to lift and carry 10-30 lbs on a regular basis
  • Have the ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Accepting coaching and feedback on ways to improve
  • No previous work experience is necessary
