fuelgood Station Cook

fuelgood is looking for a skilled and dependable Station Cook to join our culinary team. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen and takes pride in producing high-quality food in a corporate cafe and catering setting. We’re looking for a team player with strong culinary fundamentals and attention to detail.

• Completing all tasks in order according to flow of service/assigned daily menu 
• Labeling and stocking all ingredients on easily accessible shelves  
• Washing, chopping and sorting ingredients like fruits, vegetables and prepared ingredients   
• Measuring quantities of seasonings and other cooking ingredients and completing basic recipes 
• Reheating and preparation of all appropriate food and ingredients for assigned station daily 
• Adhering to all relevant nutrition and sanitary regulations and standards?  
• Keeping track of ingredient inventory and collaborating on the order guides with other kitchen and management staff to determine daily product needs. 
• Other duties as assigned 

Skills and Qualifications  

• Excellent customer interaction and communication skills 
• Superior dexterity skills to operate cutting tools quickly and safely  
• Keen understanding of industry-standard best cooking and preparation practices  
• Familiarity with safe and sanitary food handling and preparation  
• Certified in proper food handling, typically through a ServSafe Certification  
• Knowledgeable of allergens and certified through ServSafe  
• Good math skills with a clear understanding of cooking measurements  
• Strong sense of smell and taste  
• Excellent organizational, time management and multitasking skills  
• Great collaboration and teamwork skills  
• Effective communication skills  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment  
• At least one year of cooking experience  
• Ability to work as part of a team  
• Strong organization and active listening skills  
• The ability to work on your feet for up to 8 hours on most days   
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time?  
• Exceptional time management skills? 

Compensation and Benefits:

This is an hourly (part time or full time), nonexempt compensated position with PTO, Sick Days and Paid Holidays. Full-time hourly employees can opt into full health benefits – medical, dental, vision, 401K eligible after one (1) year of employment. Other benefits include a free shift meal and most weekends off.
