Job Overview 

TheFulfillment Supervisoris responsible for supervising a team of warehouse associates and leads by providing the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the unit. This position ensures the achievement of high company standards in the areas of on-time shipping, on-time receiving, timely returns, special projects, kitting and putaway, and matching customer orders.

Extended hours including scheduled 10 and 12 hour days as well as scheduled weekend hours during all peak periods. May be required to transfer to 2nd shift during peak periods.

PLEASE NOTE: Candidates must be local to or willing to relocate to the Woodridge area.

What You’ll Do
Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage shipping, receiving, matching activities to mesh with overall fulfillment flow
• Monitor backorders and coordinate timely receipt of backordered inventory
• Monitor shipping reports and coordinate on-time customer shipments
• Successfully manage stock-outs during shipping hours
• Ensure that all product is received and QA’d correctly within 48 hours
• Schedule inbound receipts and non-order outbound shipments
• Ensure all inbound returns are received and transported to the Returns Department
• Sort and distribute all inbound packages to appropriate staff daily
• Track all put-away to ensure accuracy and also that all holding locations are cleared daily
• Ensure all systems inventory and documentation is updated and communicated to appropriate DC staff
• Help resolve picking discrepancies
• Develop procedures as needed to ensure better control of receiving, shipping, matching, and putaway
• Work with the Area Supervisor to implement procedures and controls to reduce “shrink” of inventory
• Establish and maintain close working relationship with quality control, inventory control and In/Outbound Operation
• Responsible for promoting a safe and sanitary environment
• Understand and enforce all safety rules and company policies.
• Provide excellent service to all internal and external customers
• Provide hands-on supervision and assist with the management of the day-to-day operation of the facility, including shipping, receiving, matching, and inventory control, quality control, staffing, and some personnel- related issues
• Understand & communicate daily run rates, prep-days and goals to your team.
• Share feedback on productivity with team.
• With guidance from Area Supervisor, address performance- related issues within your area or department. Bring issues from other departments to Area Supervisor’s attention and Human Resources when necessary.
• Recommend recognition or disciplinary action to Area Supervisor
• Supervise and train the Fulfillment Team to optimize productivity and promote growth.
• Verify hours on a daily basis, complete payroll within corporate timeframe.
• Work with Area Supervisor to review and approve time off requests
• Any other duties as assigned by management from time to time

What You Can Expect 
Working Conditions 

• Work is performed in a fast-paced warehouse and office environment with exposure to heavy machinery, dust, fluctuating temperatures, and moderate noise levels.  
• Position involves working around machinery with moving parts.  
• The position may require alternating shifts, depending on volume.  
• Position may require regular lifting of up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.  
• Position may require movement of items from machinery to other locations.  
• Position may require handling of materials, packaging, lifting, pulling, pushing, bending as needed.   
• Frequent sustained walking and /or standing for prolonged periods of time.  
• Position requires regular, continuous use of a computer.
