Customer Service Excellence

• Greet customers warmly and provide a friendly, outgoing shopping experience.
• Project a positive image of Ace Hardware and assist customers with product knowledge and store layout.
• Answer calls and pages promptly and courteously.
• Communicate effectively with management about any issues or customer needs.
• Help with pricing, stocking, marking, and bagging merchandise.

Efficient Register Operations

• Handle sales and returns accurately following all register procedures.
• Balance the cash register drawer at the end of shifts.
• Implement store promotions and participate in team meetings.

Front End Appearance and Upkeep

• Maintain a neat and clean checkout area and entrance.
• Stock and face impulse counters and fresh merchandise seasonally.
• Ensure ads, forms, and supplies are well stocked.
• Assist with front-end decorating and cart pickups.
• Notify management when merchandise returns need attention.

Additional Requirements and Benefits

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Preferred experience in cashiering or customer service.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 40 lbs, and climb ladders during shifts.
• Availability to work weekends, evening (no later than 8 pm) and holidays.
