Position Summary

Apollo Behavioral Health Hospital is hiring a Full-Time LPN Med Nurse for an onsite Monday–Friday, 7a–3p schedule in Baton Rouge. This role supports safe, consistent psychiatric care by carrying out the RN and physician plan of care in alignment with hospital policy.

Key responsibilities include providing skilled nursing services, reinforcing patient teaching and rehabilitative measures under RN guidance, administering/dispensing medications per physician orders, completing progress notes for 1:1 and group sessions, and promptly reporting risk-management concerns to the Director of Nursing/Administrator.

Required qualifications/skills:
- Current LPN license; psychiatric experience preferred
- CPR and CPI must be maintained
- Strong organization, prioritization, and resource stewardship
- Effective collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team in a high-stress, high-volume setting
- Thorough documentation, active listening, and conflict-resolution skills

You’ll balance patient interaction with focused documentation, contribute observations during team discussions, and keep an eye on unit safety indicators. Throughout the shift, you’ll triage competing priorities, stay calm during high-census moments, and escalate emerging risks early to support a stable therapeutic environment.
