Experienced Bartenders Needed for Catered Events
Givens Talent is seeking experienced Full-Service Catering Bartenders to work catered functions, corporate events, private events, and special events throughout the Richmond area.
We are looking for bartenders who can confidently manage a full-service bar, prepare mixed drinks and cocktails, and provide professional, friendly service in a fast-paced event setting.
This is as-needed, event-based work, not a regular full-time or part-time position. Shifts are offered based on upcoming events and staffing needs.
What You'll Do
- Set up and organize a full-service bar station before the event
- Prepare and serve cocktails, mixed drinks, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Follow standard drink recipes and proper pouring practices
- Provide professional and friendly service to guests
- Prepare garnishes and organize mixers, ice, glassware, and bar supplies
- Keep the bar clean, stocked, and organized throughout service
- Restock beverages, ice, mixers, and supplies as needed
- Check identification and follow responsible alcohol service practices
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption and maintain appropriate service standards
- Handle cash or credit card transactions when required
- Coordinate with event captains, servers, and catering staff
- Break down and clean the bar area at the end of the event
What We're Looking For
- Minimum one year of bartending experience required
- Experience working a full-service bar and preparing common cocktails and mixed drinks
- Catering, banquet, restaurant, hotel, country club, or similar hospitality experience preferred
- Knowledge of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, and proper bar setup
- Strong guest service and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently during busy periods
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Dependable and punctual
- Reliable transportation to event locations in the Richmond area
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working indoor and outdoor events
