SCHEDULE: 
- Full-Time
- 7 Days On / 7 Days Off
- Wednesday to Tuesday


COMPENSATION: 
- $330,000 to $350,000 Guaranteed Base Salary
- $35,000+ Annual Bonus Income Potential

COMPANY PROFILE: 
Serving the local community since the 1950s, this regional healthcare system is dedicated to providing full service primary care, specialty, inpatient, and outpatient services to the local community.  Their offerings include, among others, family medicine, internal medicine, hematology/oncology, cardiology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, urology, and rheumatology.  All providers are employees of the system, which comprises hospitals, clinics, specialty institutes, and residency programs.


POSITION DESCRIPTION: 
The new physician will join an established team of 10 hospitalists and 2 nocturnists.  Details of the role include:

- daily census shared evenly among hospitalists
- adult / geriatric patient population (no pediatrics)
- ER physicians available 24/7 for codes
- open ICU
- 24/7 critical care support
- no vent management

Please note that procedures are optional for this role and there is a dedicated admissions staffer in the morning to allow for uninterrupted rounding.

The hospital has extensive resources available, including an EHR (transitioning to Epic soon) and robust administrative support.


REQUIREMENTS:
- Louisiana medical license
- DEA
- Board Certified or Eligible, Family or Internal Medicine
