Full-Time RN AM Matrix (3x12s)

Ascent Emergency Medical Center located near the Texas Medical Center is seeking experienced Full-Time Emergency Medicine Registered Nurses to join our AM Matrix team. This position follows a 3x12 schedule, meaning nurses will work three 12-hour daytime shifts per week, with scheduling structured to ensure adequate coverage and flexibility across departments as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Triage patients accurately to ensure timely and appropriate care.
• Perform comprehensive assessments on adult, pediatric, obstetric, and geriatric patients.
• Carry out physician orders within the scope of practice.
• Recognize and respond to medical emergencies.
• Conduct laboratory testing and report results.
• Maintain accurate documentation throughout patient treatment.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities to ensure patient safety and quality care.
• Stay up to date with medications, administration protocols, and emergency procedures.
• Oversee medication management, including narcotic reconciliation.
• Assist with supply oversight and management.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Texas RN license in good standing.
• Minimum two years of ER experience (Adult and Pediatric required).
• ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications (must be current).
• Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a high-acuity environment.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills.
