Funeral Director/Embalmer

Family-owned and -operated funeral home, serving over 300 calls per year in Johnson City, TN, seeks to add a fifth member to a strong 4-person team.

This position will initially emphasize embalming and preparation room responsibilities, including restorative work, dressing, cosmetology, and care of the deceased. The successful candidate must also be capable of arranging and directing funerals and supporting families as business needs require. Schedule flexibility is important, as responsibilities may shift between preparation room operations and funeral service duties based on staffing levels and service volume.

Required Licensure

• Valid and applicable state Funeral Director and Embalmer License with a clear disciplinary record.


• Valid state issued driver’s license in good standing and acceptable driving record.
