Gastroenterologist Procedures and Treatments:

Colonoscopy / colon cancer screening

Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) Preferred

Endoscopic mucosal resection of small tumors

Esophageal dilation of strictures

Esophageal pH exam

Flexible sigmoidoscopy

H. Pylori Breath Test

Precancerous lesions of the GI tract

Small Bowel Capsule Endoscopy

Upper Endoscopy (EGD, Gastroscopy)

Gastroenterologist Qualifications:

Must have successfully completed a residency or fellowship commensurate with area of specialty.

Obtain and maintain an unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency (âDEAâ) registration;

Be board certified or eligible in the appropriate specialty

MD or DO required
