The General Labor position in the Assembly Department is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate assembly of printed materials and products. This position involves manual labor, attention to detail, and teamwork to ensure that collated items are prepared accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be able to perform physical tasks, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced printing environment.
2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday, 3:30pm - 2:30am
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform manual assembly and packaging of printed materials according to job specifications and customer requirements.
- Package assembled items securely for shipment or further processing, ensuring that they are properly protected during transport.
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality and compliance with company standards.
- Work closely with other team members and departments, including production and shipping, to meet production deadlines and ensure smooth workflow.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, deadline driven environment, as well as a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Supervision Received:
Works with minimal supervision. Issues and concerns need to be communicated to supervisor.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Lifting: Occasionally raises objects from a lower to a higher position or moves objects horizontally from position-to position. Weight is usually less than 45 lbs.
Push/Pull: Occasionally uses upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion. Weight is usually less than 45 lbs.
Reaching: Extends hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Weight is usually less than 45 lbs.
Stooping: Bends body downward and forward at the waist. Weight is usually less than 45 lbs.
Standing: Standing for long periods of time. Up to 10 hours per day.
Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks. In frequently more than 30 minutes at a time.
Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment.
Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the plant.
