General Maintenance Tech (Full Time) - Charleston Area

Welcome to Parks Auto Parts! We have served the Charleston area since 1946 and are now hiring. Parks Auto Parts is a growing leader in aftermarket auto parts distribution and are looking for qualified people to join our team.

As a Maintenance Technician you will oversee the facility’s maintenance functions, implementing preventative and predictive maintenance. You are responsible for preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems.

Major Responsibilities:

• Responsible for regular care, preventive maintenance, and emergency maintenance


• Exhibit good mechanical skills to handle equipment to avoid causing injuries to self and others on ground.


• Communicate any conflicts, resource shortages, ongoing problems, or significant expenditures with management.


• Ensures the proper use of all tools in the workshop for cutting, bending, and welding of equipment.


• Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician.


• Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds.


• Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods


• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices

Experience/Education/Skills Required:

• Physical demands include standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching while working in indoor or outdoor environments year-round.


• Ability to work safely in a hazardous environment with exposure to moving parts, noise, vibration, high/precarious places, fumes, chemicals, and electricity. 

Must be able to: 

• Must be able to pass a criminal background and drug screen.


• Must provide a 3-year driving record - company vehicle is provided  

Hours:

Monday- Friday 8am – 5pm

Pay: Negotiable and based on experience.
