General Manager+

Texas Health Fitness Centers, powered by FX Well, delivers medically integrated, performance-driven fitness and wellness experiences for Texas Health employees, community members, and guests.

The General Manager+ is the leader of the Texas Health Fitness Center and an active Personal Trainer. This role has direct oversight of daily facility operations, teammate development, financial performance, member experience, and personal training growth. The General Manager+ leads a team that serves Texas Health employees, community members, and guests while maintaining a welcoming, high-energy, and stage-ready fitness environment.

LEADERSHIP & FACILITY OPERATIONS

• Set the tone for the facility by modeling FX Well values, leading with energy and integrity, and creating a positive, accountable culture.
• Lead, coach, and develop department leaders, Guest Relations teammates, Personal Trainers, Group Fitness Instructors, and other facility teammates.
• Own day-to-day facility operations, including staffing, communication, safety, maintenance, supplies, and operational follow-through.
• Review scorecards and key metrics regularly; build action plans that drive improvement in member experience, staffing, revenue, and retention.
• Manage facility budgets, payroll, inventory, and expenses while working toward established financial goals.

PERSONAL TRAINING & MEMBER GROWTH

• Maintain an active Personal Training client base within an approved monthly training schedule while leading the Personal Training department.
• Drive Personal Training growth through fitness assessments, consultations, trainer-client matching, lead follow-up, referrals, and retention strategies.
• Coach trainers to build their own client base and consistently deliver safe, effective, individualized programs.
• Ensure rookie trainers receive structured onboarding, shadowing, sales and service education, and ongoing accountability.
• Lead the internship program by mentoring interns, coordinating meaningful learning experiences, and supporting their professional development.

MEMBER EXPERIENCE & COMMUNITY GROWTH

• Ensure every area of the facility is clean, safe, organized, and stage-ready; address maintenance or equipment concerns promptly.
• Build meaningful relationships with members and guests, respond to feedback, and ensure concerns are resolved with urgency and care.
• Partner with marketing, wellness services, and local organizations to support facility events, engagement initiatives, and community growth.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen local partnerships, member acquisition, retention, and overall facility performance.

Skills and Experience

• Three plus years leading and managing a team.
• Experience in fitness facility management and operations is highly recommended, but not required.
• BS/BA is a plus.
• Active and valid certification from a nationally accredited Personal Training Certification program.
• Must be a passionate team player and a strong motivator.
• Must have strong background in driving performance excellence through strong people management.
• Experience in problem-solving, exercising sound judgment, maintaining confidentiality and the ability to interact professionally and effectively with teammates, guests and members.
• Proficiency in computer applications including Google Suite and database applications, specifically CRM software systems and lead generation systems.
• Ability to multi-task with strong time management skills.
• Ability to complete assignments and responsibilities accurately and in a timely manner, often with strict and/or conflicting deadlines.
• Excellent oral presentation, writing, and analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and motivational skills.
• Must have exceptional strong customer service experience and skills.

Physical

• Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays, if needed.
• Must frequently lift 25 pounds or more.
• Must be able to be on feet for at least eight hours per day, if needed.
