General Manager - B2B

Company Overview:

What The Position is About:

• Own the full P&L including revenue, gross margin, expenses and profitability
• Develop and execute the strategy to grow an established $5M+ distribution business
• Lead the growth of the company’s new e-commerce channel and digital sales strategy
• Determine the right mix of e-commerce, inside sales, outside sales and enterprise sales
• Build and manage a sales team as the business grows
• Develop a structured sales pipeline, customer coverage strategy and account-growth process
• Grow existing accounts, reactivate dormant customers and develop new business
• Improve pricing strategy, margins and overall commercial performance
• Manage supplier relationships, product offerings and inventory considerations
• Establish scalable processes and create greater accountability across the business

The Right Candidate Will Have:

• 5+ years of experience in distribution, wholesale or a similar B2B environment
• P&L ownership or General Manager/business-unit leadership experience
• Proven experience growing revenue and profitability
• Experience hiring, developing and managing sales teams
• Strong understanding of pricing, gross margin and commercial strategy
• Experience building processes within a growing or entrepreneurial organization
• Experience with e-commerce and digital sales strategies
• Comfortable working within ERP and CRM systems
• Hands-on leadership style within the ability to operate strategically and execute
• Ability and willingness to travel as needed
