 Position Summary: 

This position includes, but is not limited to, transporting racks on smokehouse racks to the drencher and transporting them to the smokehouse staging area.  

Responsibilities: 

• Lift a maximum of 40 pounds eye level and above, push 500-pound racks. 

• Scaling, transporting, measuring, and recording information as required by Quality Control or management.  

• Setup and remove various machines and clean out metal detectors. 

• Remove full racks, scale, and enter information into the computer.  

• Help empty inedible pans. 

• Perform general housekeeping duties in the department. 

• Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.  

• Perform all positions of job rotation as needed. 

• Perform any other work as assigned by management.  

Requirements:  

• Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). 

• Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed. 

• Ability and willingness to obtain a Class II power tow motor certification. 

• Ability and willingness to read and comprehend all required daily paperwork, labels, and computer work. 

• Ability and willingness to complete all paperwork and SAP functions and computer functions. 

Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. 

• Ability and willingness to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level 40 pounds or greater frequently. 

• Ability and willingness to lift/lower/carry up to 40 pounds or greater with back and legs. 

• Ability and willingness to use both hands for rapid mental muscular coordination, simultaneously. 

• Ability and willingness to flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently. 

• Ability and willingness to stand/walk/climb/bend for up to 10 hours.  

• Ability and willingness to work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 35 degrees.
