Geotechnical Field Technician

• Assist in pile load testing and other types of field testing relating soil conditions and strength. You’ll be fully trained by an experienced lead technician and manager in order for you to become a lead. 
• Occasionally, work will be performed in a team setting with one other lead technician. 
• Other responsibilities will include laboratory testing, other field testing, and supervision of hired subcontractors.
• Communicate with project manager, other engineering technicians, client representative, contractor’s representative and others as applicable regarding the construction site and project requirements. 
• Transport material samples with associated identifying documentation to the laboratory for further testing and analysis. 
• Prepare and submit reports as work is performed for daily transmittal to the Terracon Project Manager. 
• Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas.

• A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related field
