We help Lam deliver industry-leading solutions with speed and efficiency, while actively supporting the resilient and profitable growth of Lam\u0027s business. \n\n## The impact you\u2019ll make\n\nThe Global Planning \u0026 Operations Escalation Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end management of high-severity incidents, chronic issues, and escalated customer or stakeholder concerns across the organization. This role ensures cross functional team formation, rapid containment, thorough root-cause analysis, cross-functional alignment, and implementation of long\u2011term corrective actions that improve operational stability and customer experience.\n\nThe position partners closely with Global Planning \u0026 Operations teams, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Customer Operations, Product Groups, and senior leadership to minimize business impact and prevent recurrence of systemic issues.\n\n## What you\u2019ll do\n\n * Escalation Ownership \u0026 Incident Response\n * Serve as single-point accountability for critical business and customer escalations, ensuring timely, transparent communication and resolution.\n * Assess escalations across technical, operational, and commercial dimensions to balance priority across the team.\n * Accurately document incidents, containment actions, root causes, and decisions.\n * Provide cross-functional leadership without direct authority.\n * Problem Management\n * Rapid problem framing (signal \u003e noise): taking fragmented inputs and quickly framing the problem, blocking issue or decision, and business impact.\n * Drive structured root cause analysis (RCA) using industry-standard methodologies (e.g., 8D, PS\u0026DM, Five Whys, Fishbone).\n * Communication \u0026 Reporting\n * Provide clear, concise, and executive-ready updates during live escalations and throughout incident resolution cycles.\n * Develop metrics, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to track incident trends, performance, and improvement progress.\n\n\n\n## Who we\u2019re looking for\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field with 15+ years of experience; or a Master\u2019s degree with 12+ years of experience; or equivalent experience.\n * 10+ years of experience in technical support, operations, incident management, supply chain operations, or similar roles.\n * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to rapidly understand complex systems and processes.\n * Exceptional communication skills, including executive-level reporting, stakeholder management, and customer-facing interactions.\n\n\n\n## Our commitment\n\nWe believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories \u2013 On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. \u2018On-site Flex\u2019 you\u2019ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. \u2018Virtual Flex\u2019 you\u2019ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.\n\n#LI-YS1\n\nSalary\n\nCA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $137,000.00 - $287,000.00.\n\nThe above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role.
