Global Supplier Development Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dynamic Global Supplier Development Specialist with a strong background in sourcing manufacturers both domestically and globally. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in sourcing, evaluating, and developing new suppliers to enhance our manufacturing operations. This role requires a combination of operations know-how, strategic thinking, negotiating skills, and a deep understanding of regional manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and qualify potential suppliers globally based on quality, cost, and delivery requirements.


• Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with company standards and industry best practices.


• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms.


• Develop and implement supplier development initiatives to drive performance improvements.


• Lead Global Product Launch Process working with internal and external stakeholders


• Collaborate with internal teams (Engineering, Procurement, Quality) to address supply chain challenges to align on requirements.


• Monitor supplier performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports for senior management.


• Stay updated on market trends and emerging technologies to provide strategic sourcing recommendations.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required


• Bachelor’s Degree or higher


• 2+ Years experience in a Manufacturing Environment


• Proven Results finding new suppliers and building a relationship


• Technical understanding of engineering drawings


• Ability to obtain and analyze landed costs


• Ability to find and develop new/existing suppliers


• Must be able to travel 10% - 25% both domestically and internally

The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000 based on experience, education, and geographical location.
