GM automotive technician

Parks Motor Sales Service department is under new management and looking for GM technicians.

Responsibilities:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with the dealership


• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment


• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.


• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of the time needed for additional repairs


• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a certified automotive training program is preferred


• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record


• GM Center of Learning completion or working towards completion required


• ASE Certification required or working towards certification 


• Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Service Technician experience preferred


• Proficient in using GM diagnostic equipment and software


• Strong technical skills in diagnosing and repairing


• Ability to read and interpret service manuals and technical bulletins


• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities


• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills


• Excellent communication and customer service skills


• Ability to perform video inspections on vehicles
