Pay: $190,000.00 - $260,000.00 per year

Location:

Washington, DC. This is an on-site opportunity offering regular collaboration with attorneys, clients, and our growing government contracts team.

Candidates must be admitted to practice in Washington, DC or be eligible to waive into the DC Bar and have 2+ years of directly relevant government contracts experience.

Job Description

• Advise government contractors on sophisticated federal procurement and contracting matters.
• Handle bid protests and government contract claims at various stages of the dispute process.
• Counsel clients regarding small business contracting requirements and related compliance issues.
• Support government contracts aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
• Draft and negotiate subcontracts, teaming agreements, and other transaction agreements.
• Advise clients regarding cybersecurity requirements, data rights, and government contracting compliance.
• Assist with False Claims Act matters, internal investigations, and suspension and debarment proceedings.
• Research and analyze complex federal procurement statutes, regulations, and contract requirements.
• Work directly with experienced attorneys and clients to develop practical strategies for government contracting issues.
• Contribute to client relationships and the continued growth of the government contracts practice.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active DC bar license or ability to waive into the DC Bar.
• 2+ years of directly relevant government contracts experience.
• Experience with federal procurement and government contracting matters.
• Experience with bid protests, contract claims, M&A, or small business government contracting issues strongly preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, oral advocacy, and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage matters independently.
• Strong interpersonal and client communication skills.
• Cybersecurity, data rights, False Claims Act, investigations, suspension and debarment, subcontracts, teaming agreements, or OTA experience is a plus.
