Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet and exceed customer needs.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Bachelor\u0027s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience. \nOR \nMaster\u0027s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience. \nOR \nPhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Master\u0027s degree or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. \n\u2022 2+ years of relevant GPU experience. \n\u2022 1+ year of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director and above).\n\n\u2022 1+ year in a technical leadership role with direct reports (only applies to positions with direct reports).\n\nPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:\n\n\u2022 Leverages advanced GPU knowledge and experience to architect, design, implement, verify, and/or optimize the performance and power of GPU cores.\n\n\u2022 Builds functional model simulations, develops software, and tests for various graphics to verify correctness and ensures advanced performance and power goals are met.\n\n\u2022 Designs, programs, and runs comprehensive graphics tests using tools and methods under different scenarios and benchmarks to verify functionality, performance, power, and stability and identify issues.\n\n\u2022 Collaborates with cross-functional teams, third-party vendors, and external users to guide implementation and ensure alignment with needs and goals.\n\n\u2022 Develops critical driver and compiler software to support GPU products.\n\n\u2022 Writes detailed technical documentation and feature descriptions for complex GPU projects to guide users and/or customers to implement output.\n\nLevel of Responsibility: \n\u2022 Works independently with minimal supervision.\n\n\u2022 Provides supervision/guidance to other team members. \n\u2022 Decision-making may affect work beyond immediate work group.\n\n\u2022 Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey information.
