Grants Specialist II (Other Support Reviewer) - Central Grants & Contracts Office

The Grants Specialist II serves as the Other Support reviewer for the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.  This role will interact with the faculty and department administrators on issues related to Other Support reviews.  An "Other Support" review is an evaluation of all active and pending research resources committed by senior and key personnel on a grant application.

• Assists with Other Support preparation and review including preparation of drafts & edits, and formats materials related to Other Support pages.
• Communicates with the departments including follow up on review comments and answering general questions from Departments related to Other Support pages.
• Responsible for monitoring and maintaining records of Other Support information in the SharePoint.
• Follows up on Other Support information, including review of internal databases, updating project statuses and ensuring overall accuracy of Other Support information for each principal investigator.
• Reports to the Director of the Central Grants & Contracts Office for the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai regarding research-related activities.

• Bachelors degree in business administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Clinical trials negotiation training (MAGI, etc.) desirable.
• 5 years of progressive experience in grants and contracts management.

Preferred:

• NCURA or SRA 
• Thorough knowledge of grants and contracts administration at a level generally acquired through three or more years of central office grants management experience .
