Job Description - Groom/Manager - NY/Wellington

A private rider is seeking an experienced full-time show groom/groom manager to care for 3 horses and manage all aspects of their daily care. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with higher-level jumpers and strong horsemanship and barn knowledge to identify issues and proactively propose solutions. Responsibilities include all horse-related barn duties, grooming, turnout, monitoring horses and communicating any concerns, and the knowledge to set up jumps and manage show preparation, including getting to the show, setting up, and picking up numbers. The position is based in Wellington, FL during the winter through May, followed by New York in the summer, returning to Wellington in mid-October. The schedule is approximately 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, 6 days per week, with night checks also required. Housing or a housing stipend can be provided. Compensation will be based on the candidate's experience and skill level.
