What You'll Do

As a member of our Grounds Maintenance team, you'll provide a variety of duties related to construction, installation, maintenance, upkeep, beautification and repair of Cemetery Grounds and environment.

Duties will also include:

• Meet performance standards established with the employee's manager
• Perform general maintenance and repairs to Cemetery Grounds
• Operate powered equipment such as mowers, trimmers, edgers, sod cutters, chain saw etc.
• Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, clippers, saws etc.
• May install and maintain sprinkler systems, perform landscape construction and maintenance, including but not limited to mowing, aerating, pruning, landscape and planting trees, shrubs, sod flowers, and lawn seed
• May assist in burials at grave sites
• Remove snow from walks, driveways and park lots
• Spread salt as necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What We'll Love About You

• One year of experience related field preferred
• Valid New Mexico Drivers License
• Knowledge maintenance equipment such as mowers, aerators, trimmers, etc.
• Know sprinkler systems design and installation
• Safety precautions associated with equipment operations
• Interpersonal communication skills ability to communicate both verbally and writing
• Ability develop effective working relationships with supervisor subordinates and public
