Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) has exciting opportunities for Group Coordinator Manager (Level K) to join the Manufacturing Operations Support & Logistics (MOS&L) team supporting all BCA Programs based in EVERETT, WASHINGTON on 1st shift.

A manager in this role will develop cross-functional partnerships to achieve team and program goals while developing a work environment that promotes accountability, trust, teamwork, quality and safety. This role will lead a team of functional test employees in the Group Coordinator role based in Everett, Washington. The manager candidate will be flexible to work across all shifts for future assignments, special projects, and overtime as needed based on our business needs. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management of Complex Operations
    • Coordinates daily priorities, removes roadblocks, and ensures disciplined execution across shifts and work centers
    • Inspires a shared sense of urgency and ownership of product hazardous energy safety program compliance 
  • Strategic Departmental Planning
    • Executes integrated departmental plans, policies, and procedures
    • Executes business and technical strategies that drive safety, compliance, quality, delivery, and cost performance
    • Executes strategies to rate readiness and program objectives
  • Resource Allocation & Continuous Improvement
    • Acquires and allocates resources (people, machines, tooling, and capital) to support current production and future growth
    • Leads lean process improvements to optimize product hazardous energy safety process flow, reduce cycle time, and eliminate waste while maintaining regulatory compliance
  • Cross-Functional Partnerships
    • Builds strong partnerships with engineering, Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and operations teams to proactively solve issues, drive first-time quality, and achieve highest safety standards
  • Acts as a key escalation point to quickly resolve product hazardous energy safety constraints and incidents
  • Technical Oversight & Accountability
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, processes, and work instructions to ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements
  • Champions adherence to standard work and process discipline on the shop floor

Basic First-Line Leader Assessment: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or equivalent military experience
  • Willingness to work any shift based on the needs of the operation
  • Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends on a rotational basis
  • 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Candidates must have at least one year or formal/informal combined experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience using Boeing Production System (BPS) 
  • 1+ years of experience mentoring, coaching, guiding, and leading teams 
  • 1+ years of functional test or pre-flight experience
