Group Home Worker

The Group Home Worker at LIFE, Inc. - Goldsboro is a part-time position based in Wilson, NC, offering an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the well-being and development of individuals in a residential setting. This role involves providing attentive support and supervision to clients, ensuring their safety, comfort, and engagement in daily living activities. Compensation is $17.50 per hour, paid on a bi-weekly basis, with shifts primarily during the 3^rd shift as well as PRN (as needed) availability for all shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assistance and supervision to clients with personal care activities, including dressing, bathing, and toileting.


• Support clients during meal times to encourage participation in family-style dining experiences.


• Facilitate and oversee housekeeping tasks, including clothing care, cleaning, and yard maintenance.


• Assist clients with meal preparation and the consumption of nutritional supplements.


• Administer prescribed medications accurately and monitor adherence to medication schedules.


• Implement prescribed dietary plans and support the use of adaptive equipment tailored to clients’ needs.


• Execute established behavior programs, conduct data collection, and adhere to all safety protocols.


• Support clients with active treatment plans, including training objectives, data recording, and service goal implementation.


• Collaborate effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team, ensuring timely and appropriate communication with supervisory staff.


• Transport clients safely using company vehicles when required.


• Accompany and assist clients during community outings, school, and day program activities.


• Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the overall mission and operations of the organization.

Requirements

• Possession of a High School Diploma or GED is required.


• Must hold a valid North Carolina Driver’s License.


• Candidates must be at least 21 years of age.
