Compensation:

New hires for this position typically start between $28.08 and $35.10 hourly, depending on factors such as work location, experience, qualifications, skills, competencies, internal equity, and market conditions. While the full pay range is provided to support pay transparency, individual compensation will vary within the range based on these factors.

What you'll do

The Group Lead will effectively direct and monitor product in assigned work centers with consideration to priorities and customer needs.  The Group Lead will train and mentor employees on required equipment and processes as directed by Supervisor per Company Policies and Operating Procedures. 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitors and interfaces with employees to insure work assignments are being processed in the correct sequence to insure internal and external customer requirements are met on time. 
  • Confers with the Production Supervisor/Manager regarding any issues or concerns department load, personal as well as potential over time needs.
  • Attends shift/staff meetings and actively participates in planning, coordination and communication of all types, which will contribute to the delivery of quality products
  • Promotes and models teamwork and collaboration with coworkers
  • Complies and ensures employees are trained in using Epicor and are in compliance with current revisions of Pioneer Operating Procedures; to include Process Specification, Work Instructions and equipment operation. 
  • Observes and promotes quality control procedures within the department.
  • Assure that coaching and training is provided for the assigned work center employees.
  • Participates in process improvement initiatives utilizing lean manufacturing tools and techniques.
  • Be a role model, coach and trainer for new associates to foster a team environment.
  • Be prepared to provide a current status of all jobs within assigned departments at scheduled meetings or reviews.
  • Monitor safety and quality; organize and assign work; maintain safe, productive, and motivational working environment.
  • Audit use of safety devices, equipment and general housekeeping.
  • Maintain constant alert for hazardous condition.
  • Ensure safe operation of machinery and equipment.

 

What you'll bring (required qualifications):

 

  • Two years related experience
  • High School Education or GED equivalent
  • Basic word processing and spreadsheet skills required
  • Able to work overtime as needed to meet customer requirements

 

Preferably you'll bring (preferred/desirable qualifications):

  • Boeing manufacturing related experience.
  • Aerospace specific related experience
