Hadoop / ETL Team Lead

Job Description

Functional Team Lead:

Responsibilities include:

• Managing scope and requirements;
• Managing the work from functional design through test;
• Informing the Project Manager of issues that may affect other areas of the Project;Assisting in resolving issues;
• Participating in quality reviews of designs;
• Providing status to Project Management on a regular basis;
• Assisting with defining solution blueprint;
• Confirming and transitioning planning deliverable;
• Working with other team leads to confirm technical architecture analysis deliverables.
• The Functional Lead then transitions into the Development Lead.

Skills and Knowledge should include:

• Deep functional and technical knowledge of the application;
• Custom development experience;
• Strong analytical and supervisory skills;
• Technical Team Lead:
• Experience in managing teams with competing priorities and tight deadlines.
• Responsible for supervising deliverable development by software engineers and test analysts.
• Generally, a workstream will be further divided into cells or teams based on functional area, technical needs, and/or project lifecycle demands.
• Supervision includes assigning specific components to specific resources, reviewing deliverables (code, test scripts, unit tests, etc.), participating in checkpoints, reporting status to Project Managers/Workstream Leads, managing resource issues, integrating with other teams to provide a cohesive final product, and managing team level issues and risks.
