Oracle is seeking a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to join its Hardware Development Organization in Santa Clara, California. In this role, you will take the lead in designing the mechanical architecture of cutting -edge server generations for various Oracle programs, including cloud applications. Your responsibilities encompass the entire design process, from concept to volume production, including component, sub -assembly, and system integration. Proficiency in CAD design tools like Pro -E and SolidWorks is required, as is the ability to perform tolerance studies and validate mechanical design requirements. Collaboration with cross -functional teams, including thermal design, system engineering, and manufacturing, will be essential to ensure optimal server performance in data center rack environments. Additionally, you will oversee prototype builds, conduct root cause analysis, and support manufacturing activities, making this role integral to the successful delivery of complex enterprise -class products to market. The ideal candidate will have a BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 10 years of experience in the high -tech industry, with expertise in various engineering design tools and mechanical validation tests. Familiarity with data center rack integration and environmental requirements is a plus. This role offers the opportunity to drive innovation and contribute to Oracle's server development efforts.
