Job Description - HBCI Program Director

HBCI Program Director

Home-Based Crisis Intervention Program | Full-Time, Exempt

Salary: $70,000, commensurate with experience

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Licensed Mental Health Professional to lead and supervise our Home-Based Crisis Intervention (HBCI) Program. As Program Director, you'll guide a clinical team delivering crisis intervention services to children, youth, and families in their homes - providing clinical supervision, case direction, and hands-on field support while ensuring the program meets OMH regulations and professional standards. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines clinical oversight, staff development, and program administration, with occasional short-term case coverage to keep care continuous.

What You'll Do

  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision to HBCI staff, including case consultation, side-by-side field contacts, and coaching.

  • Lead clinical team meetings, case conferences, and high-risk case reviews.

  • Set program direction, monitor performance data, and drive quality improvement.

  • Oversee referrals, admissions, caseloads, and program capacity to ensure timely access to care.

  • Ensure compliance with OMH regulations, Mental Hygiene Law, and agency policy, including incident reporting.

  • Serve as the primary liaison to LGUs, SPOA committees, funders, and community partners.

  • Manage hiring, onboarding, evaluation, and day-to-day operations for clinical and support staff.

What You Bring

  • Current NYS licensure as an LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCAT, Licensed Psychologist, or other OMH-recognized LMHP.

  • 5+ years providing mental health services to children, youth, and families in a behavioral health, crisis, or related setting.

  • Demonstrated experience in clinical supervision, staff development, and program leadership.

  • Comfort with a fast-paced, onsite role requiring regular community-based travel (not remote).

  • Valid NYS driver's license and reliable transportation.

  • Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to pass required background clearances (NYS Justice Center, OCFS).

Ready to lead a program that keeps families together in moments of crisis? We'd love to hear from you.
