Head Kitchen Manager

Duties include:

Managing inventory so all necessary ingredients are stocked

Hiring new staff and providing training to facilitate quick integration

Maintaining prompt service times

Prepare all dishes on the restaurant menu to standard

Enforcing cleaning and sanitation standards

Creating schedules for all kitchen staff

Tracking kitchen finances to identify areas of potential waste

Ensuring quality control on food leaving the kitchen

Position Requirements:

High volume commercial kitchen operation and management experience

Experience managing a diverse kitchen staff in a restaurant

Ability to effectively supervise, coordinate and motivate kitchen staff

Purchasing, inventory management, and food cost control experience

Computer experience including online purchasing systems and Excel

Ability to interact with guests, other managers, and employees with tact, courtesy and gracious hospitality

Control kitchen labor expense while insuring food quality, cleanliness & short ticket times

Culinary training a plus

Extensive kitchen management experience needed

Ability to effectively manage employee schedules, food orders, food quality, and inspections

Night, weekend, and holiday availability
