About Qwoted
Qwoted is the platform connecting the world’s media with real experts—at scale. We help journalists find high-quality sources fast, and help communications professionals get their clients quoted by the right reporters. With a rapidly growing database of reporters and experts, AI-powered matching, and a transparent marketplace that supports the freedom of the press, Qwoted is transforming how newsrooms produce high-quality reporting.
As we deepen our investment in newsroom-wide adoption—moving from individual journalists to enterprise-level relationships—we are hiring a senior leader to accelerate that mission.
Role Overview
The Head of Newsroom Adoption is a senior, high-impact operator responsible for driving Qwoted’s penetration inside major media organizations. This person will leverage deep industry experience, longstanding relationships, and a clear understanding of newsroom workflows to secure adoption not just from individual journalists, but from desk chiefs, assigning editors, managing editors, standards teams, and corporate leadership.
This is a hybrid role spanning evangelism, business development, enterprise sales, strategic partnerships, and change-management. Your mandate is simple: get Qwoted into the newsroom—and make it indispensable.
Key Responsibilities
$180,000 - $220,000 a year
Required Experience & Skills
Industry Background 10+ years in journalism, newsroom leadership, media partnerships, or editorial operations. Deep relationships across national, local, and trade media. A nuanced understanding of editorial culture, incentives, politics, and decision-making.
Sales & Evangelism Experience in enterprise or B2B evangelism—especially with skeptical or overloaded audiences. Ability to “kick down doors”: strong reputation, confidence, and credibility in journalism.
Product & Growth Comfortable partnering with engineering and product to shape roadmap decisions. Ability to translate qualitative newsroom pain points into structured product feedback.
Communication & Influence Exceptional communicator with the presence to command a room of senior editors. Adept at handling sensitive conversations around sourcing, bias, and editorial integrity.
Mission Alignment: A genuine commitment to improving journalism, strengthening factual reporting, and helping reporters access real expertise—fast, transparently, and without spam.
What Success Looks Like
Within 12 months, the Head of Newsroom Adoption will have:
Brought at least 5 major newsroom organizations into structured, multi-desk adoption.
Created internal champions at every level—from desk editors to VP Editorial.
Established Qwoted as a daily tool in newsroom workflows. Built and rolled out the Qwoted Newsroom Adoption Playbook.
Generated measurable growth in expert requests, editor registrations, and AI-driven discovery across media partners.
Why This Role Matters
You will define how journalism discovers expertise for the next decade. As the industry grapples with AI, misinformation, shrinking newsrooms, and overwhelming inbound PR noise, Qwoted provides a lifeline: transparent, structured, intelligent sourcing.
The Head of Newsroom Adoption makes that real by ensuring every journalist, desk, and newsroom sees Qwoted as a critical tool—not a nice-to-have.
