A growing and fast-paced apparel company is seeking a hands-on Head of Sourcing & Production to take ownership of its sourcing and production function.

This is a highly visible leadership role within a small, nimble organization. The company is looking for someone who can operate independently, make decisions, build and manage factory relationships, and truly own the sourcing and production process from end to end.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment and has extensive experience managing high-volume apparel programs, including business within the off-price channel. This individual will serve as the senior leader overseeing sourcing and production, allowing executive leadership to step away from the day-to-day management of these functions.

What You'll Do

• Take full ownership of the company's sourcing and production strategy and day-to-day execution.


• Serve as the senior leader and primary decision-maker for sourcing, vendor management, and production.


• Build, manage, and strengthen relationships with overseas factories, mills, and suppliers.


• Lead sourcing and production for high-volume apparel programs, ensuring products are delivered on time and within cost targets.


• Partner closely with leadership, Sales, Design, and Merchandising to support the needs of the business.


• Negotiate costs, lead times, payment terms, and other key vendor agreements.


• Oversee the production calendar from product development through final delivery.


• Monitor factory capacity and proactively address production, quality, costing, and delivery issues.


• Identify and develop new factory and sourcing opportunities as the business evolves.


• Drive efficiencies and improve processes across sourcing and production.


• Manage the unique demands of a fast-paced off-price business, including tight timelines, changing opportunities, and high-volume programs.


• Take initiative, solve problems independently, and provide leadership with confidence that the sourcing and production function is being fully managed.

What We're Looking For

• Significant experience in apparel sourcing and production.


• Prior leadership experience with the ability to run and own a function independently.


• Experience supporting a high-volume apparel business.


• Strong understanding of the off-price retail channel and its unique sourcing and production requirements.


• Menswear experience strongly preferred.


• Deep knowledge of overseas factory management, sourcing, costing, negotiations, production timelines, and quality.


• Strong relationships with apparel factories and suppliers, particularly in Asia.


• Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is required.


• Entrepreneurial and highly hands-on, with the ability to thrive in a small, nimble, fast-moving environment.


• Comfortable making decisions and taking ownership without needing significant day-to-day direction.


• Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.


• Must be able to work onsite in New York City five days per week.
