Position Summary
The Healthy Start Supervisor has the responsibility to oversee the services provided by the Healthy Start program and directly supervise the Healthy Start Family Support Workers (FSWs)
Supervisor will be responsible for hiring, training, weekly check-ins, administrative support, and performance of Healthy Start FSWs.
The Healthy Start Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that the FSW team members understand and meet required program activities, schedules, and documentation timeframes. They will lead monitoring of service delivery and collaborate with the Program Manger to collect and synthesize data for monthly and quarterly reporting, chart review, and other report requirements.
This position will work with the Perinatal and Family Health Program Manager and Home Visiting Director to develop and implement all Healthy Start program services, including outreach, in-home (and virtual) visits, and community resource referrals among other activities.
Will work closely with Community Engagement Program Manager to identify recruitment needs and will support outreach activities as needed. They may attend meetings with funders and represent the program within the organization.

This position will report directly to the Healthy Start Program Manager.â¯

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience –
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Social Work or related field. Three years of experience in case management with women of reproductive age, families, or children. Experience in home visiting with a background in prevention and/or health services preferred. Experience with providing family-centered, strengths-based services to culturally diverse communities and families. Knowledge of infant and child development, parent-child attachment, maternal-infant health, and dynamics of child abuse and neglect preferred. Supervisory experience preferred, but not required. Experience with or knowledge of reflective practice preferred. Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills. A working knowledge and understanding of patient/client confidentiality issues and HIPAA compliance/regulations are essential.
Must possess knowledge of community resources and the ability to communicate effectively (written and oral) in English. Bilingual in second language used by the target audience (in this case, Spanish) is preferred.⯠A working knowledge and understanding of participant confidentiality and HIPAA compliance/regulations are essential. Supervisory experience a plus.
Individuals who identify as a trusted member of and/or has a unique understanding of the community served will be prioritized. Individuals with experience and/or passion for maternal and infant health is preferred.
Physical Demands – Regularly required to sit; frequently required to reach with hands and arms, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear; must be able to lift objects up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
Work Environment – Mostly in a typical office and/or home setting with quiet to moderate noise level. May be exposed to extreme cold, heat, and humidity due to outside weather conditions. Will be expected to travel to locations in Wards 5, 7, and 8.
