Job Description - Hearing Aid Technician

Job Title: Audiology Health Technician
Location: Twin Ports CBOC (Superior, WI)
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday, 07:30 AM – 04:00 PM
Qualifications:
  • Certification in hearing aid technology (National Board for Certification in Hearing Instrument Sciences is a plus).
  • Experience with handling patient safety and infection control standards.
  • Strong communication skills for patient education and collaboration with healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of hearing aids.
  • Take accurate ear mold impressions, ship orders to vendors, and track shipments.
  • Educate patients on proper maintenance and use of hearing aids and assistive devices.
  • Perform otoscopic exams and manage cerumen (earwax) removal.
  • Document patient interactions and services provided in the VA’s CPRS system.
