Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic – Vermeer

Vermer All Roads in Chesapeake, VA

Are you ready for a new challenge? If you are a skilled heavy equipment mechanic who's working independently and traveling to customer sites, we want to talk to you! Vermeer All Roads in Chesapeake, VA is searching for a Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic with previous experience to cover the eastern Virginia territory (Hampton Roads/Chesapeake). In this field-based role, you’ll travel to customer sites to diagnose, service, and repair Vermeer machinery and components. Use your mechanical abilities to make a difference each day with customer's equipment.

Compensation & Schedule

Hourly rate based on experience $28-40 per hour
Full Time Monday - Friday
Production bonuses available each pay period

Responsibilities

Service, repair & recondition Vermeer equipment
Diagnose malfunctions in hydraulic and electrical systems
Recommend appropriate repairs and prepare accurate estimates
Apply current industry/technical advancements in daily work
Communicate with OEM/factory for technical assistance
Other duties as assigned

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Hands-on hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting experience
Welding experience
Ability to travel daily within assigned territory for field service calls
Excellent written/verbal communication and customer service skills
Positive attitude: ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently
Valid driver’s license and insurable by our carrier (clean driving record)
