Heavy-Duty Truck Driver

 Apple Towing Co. is hiring an experienced Heavy-Duty Tow Truck Driver

We are looking for a dependable, safety-focused professional to operate heavy-duty wreckers and perform towing, recovery, and roadside operations involving commercial vehicles and heavy equipment.  We want drivers who take pride in their equipment, put safety first, and understand the responsibility that comes with operating heavy-duty towing and recovery equipment. 

• Operate heavy-duty tow trucks and wreckers
• Tow and recover semi-trucks, tractor-trailers, buses, commercial vehicles, and heavy equipment
• Perform accident and disabled-vehicle recoveries
• Properly rig, secure, and transport vehicles and equipment
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain required DOT documentation and driver logs
• Safely operate winches, booms, underlifts, chains, straps, and other recovery equipment
• Follow company, DOT, and roadside safety procedures
• Maintain professional communication with customers, dispatch, law enforcement, and other personnel
• Keep assigned equipment clean and report maintenance or safety concerns

• Valid CDL required
• Acceptable driving record
• Must pass a background check
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test 
• Ability to meet applicable DOT requirements
• Heavy-duty towing, commercial driving, recovery, or similar experience preferred
• Ability to work safely in roadside, traffic, accident-scene, and adverse weather conditions
• Must be dependable and able to respond professionally in high-pressure situations
