Job Description - Hematologist / Oncologist


A growing multidisciplinary cancer care program in the Bronx, New York, is seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Hematologist/Oncologist to join its clinical team.


The physician will provide comprehensive care for patients with malignant and benign hematologic conditions while collaborating with oncologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists, advanced practice providers, nurses, pharmacists, and other clinical professionals.


Responsibilities



  • Diagnose and treat hematologic disorders and solid tumors

  • Develop individualized treatment plans using chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and supportive care

  • Evaluate and manage anemia, clotting disorders, leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and other hematologic conditions

  • Provide inpatient consultations and outpatient oncology care

  • Review and interpret laboratory, pathology, imaging, and other diagnostic results

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive cancer care

  • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, and disease management

  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards

  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical research opportunities as applicable

  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record

  • Participate in shared call coverage


Qualifications



  • MD or DO degree

  • Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency

  • Fellowship training in Hematology and Oncology

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and Medical Oncology

  • Active New York medical license or eligibility for licensure

  • DEA registration

  • Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • New graduates and experienced physicians are encouraged to apply


Schedule



  • Full-time

  • Monday–Friday

  • Combination of outpatient clinic and inpatient consultation responsibilities

  • Shared call rotation
