No. of Beds in Department: 17-bed inpatient oncology unit, 15-bay infusion center
EMR System: Cerner
Specialty Backup Available: Anesthesia, Radiation Oncology, Nurse Navigators, Social Workers, Research Coordinators, Genetic Counselors
Support Staff Available: Dedicated RN staff, Nurse Navigators, Social Workers, Pharmacy Liaison, Research Coordinators, Genetic Counselors

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
Temporary Privileges Available: No
Credentialing Timeline: Up to 90 days

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

Chemotherapy administration
Infusion therapy
Patient consultations
Management of hematologic and oncologic conditions

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Board: Board Certified in Medical Oncology or Hematology/Oncology (Board Eligible considered)
Licenses: Active California License (CA)
DEA: Active DEA Certification
Certifications: BLS (preferred)
AOther Qualifications: Completion of accredited post-graduate training program, Clean malpractice/background

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide expert hematology and oncology care to patients in outpatient clinic setting.
Utilize the co-located Solari Infusion Center for chemotherapy and infusion therapy delivery.
Collaborate with nurse navigators, social workers, and multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient journey.
Participate in weekly tumor boards and daily multidisciplinary rounds.
Manage a patient volume of 13-18 patients per day.
