Action-packed Hershey Bears hockey games, thrilling live entertainment, and one-of-a-kind events are a day in the life of our Hersheypark Entertainment Complex team members at Hersheypark, Giant Center, Hersheypark Stadium, or Hershey Theatre

This position is responsible for driving the Hershey Bears box truck which is 16 feet long with the player’s equipment and other hockey supplies in it.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

• 
  

  Safely drive a 16’ box truck to deliver and pick up equipment and other hockey supplies *

  
  


• 
  

  Drive a maximum of 10 hours per day *

  
  


• 
  

  Collaborate with our Head Equipment Manager to plan and execute efficient equipment transfers

  
  


• 
  

  Load and unload equipment when needed

  
  


• 
  

  Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures when handling equipment and operating equipment transfer vehicles 

  
  


• 
  

  Travel to different States within the US and occasionally travel to Canada

  
  


• 
  

  Perform other duties as assigned

  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  

  Must be 18 years of age or older on the date of applying

  
  


• 
  

  Must possess a valid driver’s license 

  
  


• 
  

  Must obtain and maintain a DOT medical certification for Commercial Driving 

  
  


• 
  

  This position is designated as Safety Sensitive and requires successful completion and passing of a pre-employment drug test.

  
  


• 
  

  Must be legally authorized to travel between Canada and the United States

  
  

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  Must be able to work independently.

  Must be detail-oriented and have clear verbal and written communication skills

  Must be able to successfully complete all legal, company, and department training requirements to include, but not limited to, passing required tests and certifications within established timelines and ensuring all certifications remain up-to-date and active

  Physical requirements include the ability to stand for up to three hours at a time, walk, bend at the waist and knees and have repeated manual dexterity, and the ability to push, pull, and reach above shoulder level, and lift up to twenty (20) pounds without assistance

  Must be able to work in a combination of indoor and outdoor weather conditions. Employees are subject to a variety of weather conditions, including but not limited to: extreme heat, sun exposure, cold, and inclement weather.

  Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
