HHA / Caregiver / DSP - Valparaiso

BrightStar Care of Valparaiso is looking for a caring, reliable CAREGIVER / HOME HEALTH AIDE / DSP to service a particular client in the Valparaiso, IN area.

We are specifically interested in hiring individuals who have prior experience with caring for clients with traumatic brain injuries and mental health concerns. The ability to adhere to a specific safety plan is crucial. The ideal candidate availability would include approximately 11am to 4pm, Monday through Thursday.

BrightStar Care staff are responsible for providing the following services:

COMPANION CARE:

- Respite and family relief

- Assistance with hobbies and pastimes

- Companionship for those condition compromises their ability to stay alone, such as individuals living with dementia

HOME SUPPORT:

- Laundry and light housekeeping

- Grocery Shopping and meal preparation

- Errands

PERSONAL CARE: 

- Bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting

- Medication reminders

- Transferring, positioning, and ambulation

Candidates must be over 18 and be a High school graduate or hold their GED in addition to processing a Valid Driver's License.
