High School Principal

The High School Principal supports Immanuel Christian High School's educational, spiritual, and cultural development. The principal advances the mission of Immanuel Christian School by cultivating a Christ-centered learning community that forms students intellectually, spiritually, relationally, and vocationally for lives of learning, godliness, and service.

Grounded in the school's Philosophy of Education as Formation, the principal leads a high school committed to educating the whole child- head, heart, and habits. The successful candidate will champion a coherent vision of Christian education that points students toward truth, goodness, and beauty while preparing them to become thoughtful Christian citizens and leaders who stand on God's unchanging truth in an ever-changing world.

The principal leads all aspects of the high school program, including academics, discipleship, student life, faculty development, leadership formation, TravelTerm, fine arts, and co-curricular experiences. The principal works collaboratively with faculty, students, parents, and school leadership to ensure every aspect of the high school experience helps form graduates who pursue Christ faithfully, practice resilience, explore with passion and curiosity, think critically with discernment, communicate with intention, and serve with conviction.

Spiritual Leadership & Formation

• Champion the school's philosophy that all education is inherently formative and ensure that Christ-focused formation remains central to all aspects of the high school experience. 
• Foster a learning environment that points students beyond themselves toward a deeper knowledge and love of God.
• Promote a culture where biblical truth is woven throughout the educational experience and serves as the lens through which students understand the world and their place within it. 
• Lead a school community committed to helping students develop rightly ordered loves, grow in wisdom and discernment, and embrace lives of worship,      responsibility, and service. 
• Support discipleship structures that cultivate both intellectual understanding and heart transformation through the power of the Gospel.
• Ensure that spiritual formation extends beyond classroom instruction into student life, community culture, leadership opportunities, service, and daily relationships. 

Faculty Leadership & Development

• Cultivate a faculty culture that recognizes teachers as both educators and disciple-makers whose lives serve as a living curriculum for students. 
• Encourage faculty to model a life shaped by love for God, His Word, and His work in the world.
• Coach and mentor faculty members as they build learning environments for student engagement.
• Support      teachers in integrating biblical worldview formation throughout all disciplines rather than limiting faith integration to isolated activities      or subjects. 
• Foster professional growth that equips faculty to shape both the minds and hearts of students.
• Build a collaborative faculty community characterized by humility, integrity,      responsibility, and a shared commitment to Christian formation. 

Student Life, Leadership & Community Formation

• Create opportunities that help students grow as faithful contributors to their communities who demonstrate responsibility, discernment, humility, and joyfulness. 
• Support programs that cultivate leadership, resilience, initiative, service, and character development.
• Encourage students to reflect on truth, think through truth, and reflect the truth through their words, actions, relationships, and service.
• Ensure that student leadership development, athletics, TravelTerm, fine arts, and community experiences contribute to the holistic formation of students. 
• Foster a culture where students are known, challenged, encouraged, and prepared to engage God's world with wisdom and conviction.

Spiritual Preparedness and Responsibilities

• Maintain a daily personal devotional life and be prepared spiritually for the demands of each day.

• Demonstrate, by example, love and obedience to Christ and His Word.

• Follow the biblical model for supervision and evaluation.

· Be a member of Immanuel Bible Church and serve in a church ministry as the Lord leads.
