Hiring Travel RN Behavioral Health in Battle Creek, MI

Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse for a travel/contract position in Battle Creek, MI. Accepting both local and traveler candidates. 

Position Details:

Position Name: Travel Registered Nurse Behavioral Health

Location: Battle Creek, Michigan

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Pay Rate: Range $1872 to $1908 weekly Gross pay (Includes Non-taxable travel/housing and M&I stipend available for qualified/eligible travelers)

Unit: Inpatient mental health or behavioral health unit/s

Shifts available: Nights,

Schedule: 36 hours/week guaranteed, 3 shifts per week, including weekends and holidays as scheduled

Position Requirements:

• Registered Nurse: 2 years - Required
  


• Recent/Current Inpatient Psychiatric or Behavioral health RN experience: 2 years – Required
  


• Experience with Epic EMR and Pyxis Medication Systems – Highly preferred
  

Education, License and Certification Requirements:

• ASN or an equivalent – Required
  


• BSN or an equivalent – Highly preferred
  


• RN License for State of MI - Required
  


• CPI or HWC Certification - Preferred
  


• BLS Certification from AHA or American Red Cross - Required
  

Job Description:

• Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
  


• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
  


• The RN will maintain medical records and educate patients and their families about various physical and behavioral health conditions.
  


• The RN will provide nursing care and services within the standards and scope of nursing practice as defined within the state Nurse Practice Act regulations, policies, procedures, and protocols, as well as facility and corporate policies and procedures.
  


• Ensure physicians’ orders are legible if taken verbally and transcribed appropriately per policy and procedure.
  


• Ensure patients’ status is assessed on an ongoing basis and pertinent information is gathered and documented.
  


• Notify physicians of significant changes in status
  


• The RN will ensure that initial nursing treatment plans are completed upon admission and that all nursing treatment plans are specific to assessed needs.
  


• Provide care in Adult units and willing to float to other units if requested 
  


• EMR: Epic, Medication Systems: Pyxis
