Home Care Assistant

University Home Care Inc is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Home Care Assistants in Port Huron, MI. In this role, you will provide essential support and care to clients in their homes, helping them maintain independence and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.


• Provide medication reminders and support with mobility and exercises as directed.


• Monitor and report any changes in the client’s condition to the healthcare team.


• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.


• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.


• Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate effectively with clients and family members.

Requirements

• Previous experience in home care or a related field is an asset, but NOT required.


• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.


• Ability to pass a background check 


• Reliable transportation to and from client locations.


• Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality.
