Job Description - Home Care Scheduler

YOUR ROLE AS A SCHEDULER



  • Coordinate with the Client Care manager regarding client care and staffing needs.

  • Create, maintain, and update caregiver/client schedules.

  • Match caregivers with clients based on skills, availability, and care plans.

  • Ensure all client shifts are properly staffed and documented in scheduling system.

  • Communicate schedule changes, call-offs, and coverage needs to staff, caregivers and clients.

  • Monitor and adjust schedules to address last-minute staffing issues.

  • Verify caregiver availability, credentials, and compliance requirements.

  • Provide excellent customer service to clients, families, and staff.

  • Assist with after-hours scheduling needs when required.

  • Direct client care when necessary


QUALIFICATIONS



  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Previous scheduling or staffing experience preferred, ideally in healthcare or home care.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle last-minute changes.

  • Proficiency with technology, MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.), experience using scheduling software a plus.

  • Caregiving experience a plus

  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds, clear background check, CPR, TB, physical

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
