Long-Lewis of Hoover is looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Recon Wash Tech to join our growing team. This position plays a vital role in preparing pre-owned vehicles for resale by thoroughly cleaning, detailing, and ensuring every vehicle is lot-ready and presented to Long-Lewis standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash, clean, and detail the interior and exterior of pre-owned vehicles to dealership standards.


• Prepare vehicles for display by ensuring they are clean, polished, and ready for the sales lot.


• Perform vehicle inspections to identify cosmetic concerns or damage that should be addressed before sale.


• Assist with light reconditioning tasks and general vehicle preparation as needed.


• Maintain accurate records of completed work when required.


• Work closely with the sales, service, and reconditioning teams to ensure timely vehicle turnaround.


• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following all company safety policies.


• Communicate effectively with team members regarding vehicle status, priorities, and any concerns.

Qualifications and Skills 

• Previous automotive detailing or vehicle washing experience preferred.


• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.


• Must have a good eye for detail and take pride in delivering quality results.


• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.


• Must be willing to work weekends as business needs require.


• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.


• Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.


• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.


• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent time management skills.
