The host is a fundamentally important position. They set the tone for a guest’s dining
experience and punctuate it at the end. The host must be friendly, organized, and willing to find a way to ensure guest satisfaction.
Host Duties
Greet and welcome each guest with a great attitude and positive body language
Answer phones with friendliness and care
General knowledge of restaurant: hours of operation, menu, seating options
Understand the dough reservations system and waitlists
Know seating parameters and what you can and cannot accommodate
Find a way to say yes!
Good working knowledge of menu, and general allergen information
Know how to work POS system and take to-go orders, including cash and card transactions
Help bus and reset tables as assigned
Maintain host area cleanliness and organization, including the front entryway doors and windows
Perform opening and closing procedures
Other duties as assigned

Enjoys customer interaction and can engage with a friendly demeanor
Eager to grow
Thrive in a fast-paced environment
Solid understanding of service etiquette
Must have transportation
Must have weekend and holiday availability
