Host

The host is a fundamentally important position. They set the tone for a guest’s dining

experience and punctuate it at the end. The host must be friendly, organized, and willing to find a way to ensure guest satisfaction.

Host Duties

 Greet and welcome each guest with a great attitude and positive body language

 Answer phones with friendliness and care

 General knowledge of restaurant: hours of operation, menu, seating options

 Understand the dough reservations system and waitlists

 Know seating parameters and what you can and cannot accommodate

 Find a way to say yes!

 Good working knowledge of menu, and general allergen information

 Know how to work POS system and take to-go orders, including cash and card transactions

 Help bus and reset tables as assigned

 Maintain host area cleanliness and organization, including the front entryway doors and windows

 Perform opening and closing procedures

 Other duties as assigned

 Hospitality-focused mindset

 Enjoys customer interaction and can engage with a friendly demeanor

 Eager to grow

 Thrive in a fast-paced environment

 Solid understanding of service etiquette 

 Must have transportation

 Must have weekend and holiday availability
