Hostess

Position Summary: The Restaurant Host is responsible for delivering a premier hospitality experience for our members and guests. As the first point of contact, you will set the tone for the dining experience by maintaining an organized seating flow, managing the reservation system, and proactively communicating member preferences to the food and beverage team.

Duties & Responsibilities 

Member & Guest Services

• Greet and welcome members and guests with a      warm, friendly, and professional demeanor, utilizing member names whenever      possible.
• Manage reservations using club software (e.g., Jonas)      to ensure accurate booking and seating times.
• Maintain member profiles, tracking preferences, special      occasions, and dietary restrictions to provide highly personalized      service.
• Handle inquiries and complaints gracefully,      ensuring member satisfaction is prioritized and escalated to management      when necessary.

Floor & Operations Management

• Control the seating chart and rotation, ensuring a fair      distribution of tables among servers to prevent overworking or      overwhelming the floor.
• Coordinate with service and      kitchen staff to      monitor the pacing of meals and table turnover rates.
• Promote club amenities and upcoming dining, social,      or golf events to members as they arrive or depart.
• Maintain the host area and menus so they are clean,      organized, and properly stocked.

Qualifications & Requirements

· Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of host or customer service experience, ideally in upscale dining, resorts, or private club environments.

· Skills: Strong communication skills, a high level of professionalism, and proficiency with digital reservation and POS systems.

· Appearance: Adhere to the country club’s business professional or hospitality uniform standards.

· Availability: Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and major club holidays.
