Host/Hostess - Moxy

We're looking for an enthusiastic Host/Hostess to join our team. As the first point of, you'll set the tone for every guest's experience. You'll greet with warmth, manage reservations and seating efficiently, and help ensure our service runs seamlessly.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, high-energy environment and loves providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
  
  
  • Manage reservations and walk-ins using OpenTable or Seven Rooms, anticipating guest needs, such as noting allergies or special requests.
  
  
  • Escort guests to their tables with grace, presenting menus and introducing them to their server.
  
  
  • Maintain the pristine appearance of the host stand and entrance area at all times.
  
  
  • Handle phone calls with excellent etiquette, managing inquiries and reservations.
  
  
  
  

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Host/Hostess in an upscale or high-volume restaurant


• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently


• Ability to multi-task


• Professional, polished, and confident presence


• Ability to manage OpenTable or similar reservation systems (a plus)


• Works well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude


• Strong communication and organizational skills


• Proactive, detail-oriented, and reliable work ethic


• Available to work nights, weekends and holidays


• Must be able to stand for the duration of shifts and lift, move, carry, push or pull up to 50 lbs. as needed
