Housekeeper III- Floor Tech

Position Summary 

Provides environmental cleaning services. Responsible to maintain the facility in a sanitary, neat, attractive and safe condition at all times. Responsible to maintain the floors running heavy cleaning equipment, walls and baseboards in a clean manner including stripping and refinishing, carpet cleaning, and burnishing.   

• Sanitizes all surfaces of the facility using a germicidal cleaner.  
• Performs dust mop and mopping all tile floors. Performs burnishing of floors.  
• Performs carpet cleaning and vacuuming.  
• Strips and refinishes floors.  
• Removes infectious and non-infectious waste.  
• Performs project cleaning in designated areas.  
• Cleans walls, doors, and baseboards, picks up trash and delivers linen/laundry.  
• Maintains accurate records including discharges, pager sign-out sheets, cart sign-out sheets, and Kronos corrections.  
• Other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned.   

• Special Skills 
  • Knowledge of floor care equipment.  
  • Ability to read in English to follow oral and/or written instructions.   
  • Ability to prioritize work.   
  • Must have good customer service skills.  
• Preferred Requirements 
  • Education: High school or equivalent preferred to enable individual to follow oral or written instruction in English.  
  • Experience: Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
